Show Jumping
Mischief Farm specializes in teaching riders how to be successful in the show jumping arena. We base our training on having a solid foundation in dressage while also introducing riders to challenging situations early in their jumping education. We ride in the style used by many of the top European and American riders in the world. Watching the greats such as Marcus Ehning, Steve Guerdat, Scott Brash, Christian Alhmann, and Kent Farrington provides an education in and of itself. These top riders have achieved international success in the show jumping arena and we strive to duplicate their quiet riding, calm under pressure, and excellent horse and rider communication style.

Problem Horses
Here at Mischief Farm, we have a passion for dealing with problem horses. We have been very successful taking horses that were considered high strung, overly sensitive, out of control, or even unsafe, and turning them into rideable, competitive horses. We feel that many problem horses are actually misunderstood and that a "cookie cutter" approach to training just won't work with these horses. We take the time to assess each horse, both physically and mentally. We find out exactly how his mind works, and what job he wants to do. We then we create a specialized program to make sure he has the skills and athleticism to do his job and become a solid equine citizen who loves his life and his work.
Horsemanship
Team Mischief Farm is more than just a barn, we're a family. We feel that every member of our barn should enjoy their time at the stable, whether on or off a horse. Each horse and rider combination are on their own timeline and we progress at the pace that is appropriate for them. We firmly believe in, and teach, horsemanship from the ground up. With no grooms in our barn, riders groom and take care of their mounts in order to create a lasting bond and enhance their knowledge of all aspects of horsemanship.
