I offer many items for sale on eBay on a regular basis, and I regularly have clients who wish me to sell their used tack and other items on eBay for them. Following is how I work eBay if you would like me to sell something for you. If I have current items for sale and have more information or photos than eBay allows on their site, I will also post them here.

My eBay Selling Policy
My selling fee is $5.00 or 15% of the final item price (whichever is higher)
eBay listing fees, which is the percent that eBay charges (I think it's around 1% to 2% of the final sale price plus auction insertion fees) to run the auction. There is still a small fee (usually around $5 to $20, not including reserve fees) if the item doesn't sell at all. Fees from eBay can take a week or two to be billed to me (not always, but it has happened), so final payout to the owner of the money received for any item is contingent on eBay billing me, and the buyer receiving the item with no issues.
Paypal fee if the buyer uses Paypal to purchase the item (around 2% to 3% of the total remitted)
If tack is not clean, there will be a charge for me to clean it. This would be from about $10 (bridles, halters, stirrup leathers, and other smaller items) to $25 or more (saddles, or other larger items), depending on the actual item and how much clean-up is involved. The appearance of an item directly relates to how much money we can get for it, so the cleaner, the better.
What I need from the seller:
The item should be as clean as possible and in good working shape
A written history on the item (if possible), with as much information as possible
An exact list of what is included with the item (such as accessories, packaging, etc.)
An opportunity to look at the item and take photos
Complete contact info in case of questions as well as for my records
My Auction Policies:
I will do some research on eBay (and other internet sites) to see what I think is the likely selling price for the item in question and discuss that with you to see if what I find is acceptable; if so, we will set an opening price and a reserve price (if desired), and the date to start the auction
I do a seven day auction--this is the standard auction length
On high cost items, I usually list the item with a starting price and a reserve price, unless we decide otherwise before the auction that you really just want to sell the item quickly. The advantage to a reserve price is that your item doesn't HAVE to be sold if bidding does not go above the reserve price, but MUST be sold if it does go over the reserve price. There is an extra fee on eBay for selling any item with a reserve price (about 1% of the reserve dollar amount).
I will keep in touch during the auction to let you know what the auction status is.
If the item sells, I will let the you know as soon as the auction is done, and find out when payment will be received so the item can be shipped. You ship the item (and get the shipping cost from the buyer) unless arrangements are made in advance for me to do it, in which case I keep the shipping fee collected.
If the item does not sell, I will also tell you and see if there is any possibility or interest in selling the item as a "Second Chance" offer to whoever may have been the highest bidder under the reserve price, or following up with anyone else who showed an interest in buying the item. If it sells as a Second Chance, the same fees apply. If it doesn't, all that is owed is the auction placement fee. You can also decide to re-list the item for another try at selling it, either right away, or you can wait a week or two to try again. Every re-listing will cost another auction placement fee, regardless of whether the items sells or not the second time (or third or however many times) we list it.
As soon as the auction is successfully concluded to the satisfaction of buyer and seller, and I receive all fees for the auction, I will calculate what is owed to me and remit the rest to the you with an itemized bill.
